The Elliot Bay Book Company can be found at 1521 10th Ave. This is a large bookstore carrying a vast amount of books to choose from. You will be able to find what you are looking for here and books you are not looking for either. Check their website for book signings and other scheduled events. They also have a small cafe serving coffees and pastries.
There are several things to do here, one is you can browse through the books together and choose one you would like to read together in the evenings. Another is have contest- see who can find the craziest, funniest, weirdest, etc.. book. Whoever wins buys the other one a treat at the cafe. While you are eating your treat discuss what kind of books you each like. What is your favorite book? Did you read a lot as a kid?
