98195 Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture


Burke Museum of Natural History & Culture is located at 17 Ave NE and NE 45th St.  The first Thursday of each month admission is free.  They have several different collections available to see.  They have ones on geology, archaeology, paleontology, and more.  They also have temporary exhibits which change periodically.  Check their website for more information.


The Burke Museum also features a cafe.  Enjoy a sandwich, salad, or one of their large variety of drink selections.  Take this time to talk about your finances.  Do you need to restructure your budget?  Do you have a goal or two you want to save for?  Discuss ways you can do better with your finances.

Full Tilt Ice Cream is located at 4759 Brooklyn Ave. NE.  features all natural homemade ice cream.  They feature several unique kinds (rose, caramel popcorn) including vegan as well.   They make their own waffles cones as well.  They flavors rotate regularly so you will always have something new to try!   Their single scoop (see the above picture) are huge and you get two flavors!  A waffle cone this size is $4.  This is an amazing place to get your ice cream fix.  They also have pinball and video games, so you can have fun after your ice cream!

98144 Northwest African American Museum



The Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) is located at 2300 S. Massachusetts St. The NAAM shows the important history, culture, and art of the African people.  They house about 200 various artifacts. The  Journey Gallery is a permanent exhibit showing the journey of African Americans to the Pacific Northwest.

After your museum experience head over to Borracchini's Bakery.  Borracchini's Bakery is an Italian historic bakery founded in 1922.   They make Italian breads, donuts, pies, cookies, cakes, etc...  The bakery also has a delicatessen and various lunch offerings including pizza and soups.  They are pretty affordable too!  The bakery is located at 2307 Rainier Ave. S.

Have you ever been to the opera?  It is actually fun and not the stereotypical boring date.  The Seattle Opera offers various operas during the season.  Make sure you sign up on their website for their mailing list to get notification of updates on upcoming performances.  The Seattle Opera is located at 1020 John St.


Before you head to the opera stop and have a tasty dinner at Novilhos Brazilian Steak House.  This is a unique restaurant as they have various meats they bring to your table to choose from.  It also includes the salad bar which is unlike any salad bar you have ever seen.  They have meats, cheeses, risotto, olives and other fresh delicacies.  Make sure you go hungry!

While you are enjoying your lovely meal share with each other why you love him/her.  It is always nice to hear why your spouse loves you.  You will grow stronger together by focusing on the other person and what makes them someone you love.

Ever been to a professional soccer game?  No?  Then this is your perfect chance.  Take your spouse and watch a Seattle Sounders game.
The Sounders play at the Century Link Field located at 800 Occidental Ave. S.

Even if  you are not big fans kiss every time a goal is made and cheer enthusiastically.  This creates a fun and better date.  They have concessions, so go and choose a few things to share.   As you are sharing your food talk about other sporting events you have been to, played in, or would like to go and watch.

Alki Beach Park sits on 139 acres of beautiful land.  There is a 2.5 mile walking path and the waterfront shows the most amazing views of Puget Sound.  


Spud Fish & Chips has an amazing view from the upstairs sitting area.  They specialize in seafood and fries.  They have yummy fish and chips, fried clams, and fried oysters.  They also have fresh fruit milkshakes.  Don't forget to try out some of their flavored vinegars- the garlic one is a customer favorite. 

During this date hold hands.  Holding hands shows your spouse affection, connection, and devotion.  If you have not held hands in awhile it will definitely create some chemistry!  It is important to take some time for more than just a peck on the cheek as you are leaving in the morning.  As you consciously use more affection you will see your marriage improve dramatically.

Ride the Ducks is a unique tour of Seattle.  Want a one of a kind tour?  It starts out as a 60 minute land tour and ends with a 30 minute water tour.  What is unique about it you say?  The "duck" drives on land and water!  Super fun!   You will be entertained during your tour with bits of history and Seattle trivia.
